CHINA – China is taking steps to address its role as the world’s largest carbon polluter.
The Chinese President announced to the United Nations that China aims to reduce emissions by 7% to 10% by 2035.
The President also shared plans to enhance wind and solar power, promote pollution-free vehicles, and work towards establishing a climate adaptive society.
According to the International Energy Agency, China’s efforts will be closely watched as they strive to meet these ambitious goals.
