FARGO — Essentia Health has released a third-party report highlighting its contributions to the region’s economy and job market.

The report, conducted by the economic development firm Northspan, shows Essentia Health drives more than $1.4 billion in annual economic activity and supports more than 4,000 jobs. That figure includes the 1,600 people directly employed by Essentia Health across 12 area clinics.

In 2024, Essentia Health invested $1.5 million across 153 local organizations.

“Our work with other nonprofit organizations, I think, speaks volumes into how we truly are invested, not only just in how we give back to the community, but how we can build synergy with other nonprofits to further those benefits,” said Dr. Stefanie Gefroh, president of West Market at Essentia.
