SOUTHBURY, Conn. — It’s an unlikely partnership but an inspiring one: Leaps of Faith, the Southbury -based adaptive skiing nonprofit, is now offering their free clinics to help injured Ukrainian Soldiers.

Leaps of Faith is assisting Kind Deeds, a New York-based nonprofit that brings Ukrainian soldiers to America who have lost limbs fighting in the war with Russia. Kind Deeds primarily helps the Ukrainian Soldiers get better prosthetics and more advanced rehabilitation but they are now are offering some soldiers an escape to Lake Zoar for a day of waterskiing.

Joel Zeisler, the founder of Leaps of Faith, said, “We teach and instruct people with all disabilities in waterskiing and wakeboarding.”
