A West Lothian woman is urging the public to discuss organ donation after her husband's tragic death.

Louise Johnstone, 46, from Whitburn met her husband, Jed Johnstone, later in life and they married just over a year before he died.

The loving Grandpa and postman, aged 53, was treated at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh in 2023 after suffering from a brain aneurysm and subsequent stroke but tragically passed away.

When medics confirmed Jed wouldn’t be able to recover, specialist nurses informed Louise Jed had registered as an organ donor and supported her as transplant teams identified four patients in urgent need of a transplant.
