AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — West Plains High School quarterback Reid Macon and wide receiver/safety Kane White-Tinsley have been named Players of the Week after leading the Wolves to a statement victory over rival Bushland.

Head coach Adam Cummings said the recognition reflects years of hard work and chemistry between the senior duo.

“They’ve played together a long time now,” Cummings said. “They’re hard workers, good leaders, and they put in time outside of practice. It was nice to see all that pay off Friday night.”

The win marked a breakthrough for West Plains, which had struggled to overcome Bushland in recent seasons. Cummings said the victory was a long time coming.
