Unconnected to any network, a wind phone coming to Welland’s Kingsway Park will offer a connection for people grieving a loss to say their final words or share memories.
Alongside a gravel laneway leading to Welland International Flatwater Centre’s south course, it will be Hospice Niagara ‘s fourth wind phone in the region.
“The wind phone transforms absence into presence,” said community programs manager Joy Friesen. “It gives space for words we still long to say. Its power lies in showing us that grief can walk alongside love, and that connection endures even through loss.”
