FAIRFIELD, Ala. —

Micheal Williams, a candidate in Fairfield's mayoral runoff race, is contesting the election results after losing to Herman Carnes Jr., alleging ballot harvesting and manipulation during the voting process.

Williams described his experience at the polling place, where he was among the first to vote and encountered issues when attempting to obtain his ballot.

After filling out his information, presenting his driver's license, and having the registrar sign off on his form, a ticket printed with four different voters' names, none of which were his. Williams was the only person in line at the time, which raised his concerns.

He said that if this were an isolated incident, he would accept the results, but he has been told that others experienced similar issues.
