A Birmingham man has been arrested in a deadly April shooting of a man in North Birmingham.

Letaris Demonds-Lapri Franklin, 27, was found shot to death on April 10 inside an apartment in the 2100 block of 29th Avenue North.

He was found by a loved one who went to the apartment complex to check on him because he had been out of contact for some time, according to investigators.

Birmingham police had received numerous calls the previous night regarding gunshots heard in the area. Officers responded and patrolled the complex but were not able to find out where the shots had been fired.
