A 32-year-old man was shot inside Penn Station around 7 p.m. Wednesday, according to the NYPD.

The shooting happened on a Long Island Rail Road platform, and the man was hit in the arm, authorities said. He was taken to a local hospital, according to officials. His condition was not immediately available.

Police have not announced any arrests.

The NYPD said people should avoid the area around West 34th Street between Seventh and Eighth avenues, warning of traffic delays due to the investigation.
