HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - One KHAS morning host is putting himself into an uncomfortable situation to raise money.
Brandon McDermott will stay on the roof of the Burlington Center until two full moving trucks are filled with donations.
This is the second year that this food drive has happened. Last year featured one truck to fill and three nights of McDermott staying on top of the Burlington Center.
McDermott knows that staying on the roof of the building is a novel idea to support the food drive, and he is using it as a way to show just how much he cares about fighting food insecurity in Adams County.
“15% of people in Adams County, 4,800 people, are food insecure,” McDermott said.
