GROTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Groton police are still discussing an accidental shooting that left one woman with life-threatening injuries last week.
Officers helped to save the victim's life after she was shot through the floor of her apartment complex. Caleb Bean, 30, who is also a resident in the apartment, allegedly accidentally discharged his firearm while inside.
More than a week later, resident Katlynn Payton said she still has yet to hear from the apartment complex owners at Phoenix Apartments following the shooting.
"They have cameras around here, so I'm pretty sure they had to have seen it, but they should've spoken up then, but it's too late now," Katlynn Payton, another resident in the building, said.
