GENESEE TOWNSHIP, MI — A 61-year-old man was arraigned Saturday, Sept. 20, on six felony counts, including second-degree murder, as the result of a 2024 slaying.

Larry Marshall Shortridge, of Genesee Township, was arraigned in Genesee County District Court over the weekend. Shortridge is believed by police to be responsible for the shooting death of a 49-year-old Davison area man.

The fatal shooting occurred in the 6000 block of Stoney Point Street, shortly after 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024, police said at the time .

An unnamed person of interest was taken into custody at the time. However, a warrant for Shortridge’s arrest was not issued until Sept. 17, 2025.
