JOHNSON CITY, Tenn., (WJHL) - Since an ordinance changing the last call time for alcohol from 3 to 1 a.m. passed last month, downtown bar owners have been walking on eggshells, figuring out how to handle a two-hour cut in sales and customers. Some businesses even fear closure.

However, downtown non-profit Founder's Forge hopes to provide resources to help bars navigate this change.

"We started thinking about ways after the ordinance change happened what we can do to make a positive impact and help our downtown bars, not just make it through this change, but also hopefully thrive through it as well," said executive director David Nelson.
