MALIBU, Calif.-- It was not the conference opener that Oregon State women's soccer was opening to have on Wednesday.

Down on the road in California, the Beavers would fall to Pepperdine in a 6-0 shutout falling to 1-4-4 in overall and 0-1 in WCC action.

The Waves would score five out of the team's six goals in the second half, along with six different scorers on the afternoon.

On the flip side the Beavers struggled to find the back of the net or any offensive cohesion at all. During the loss the Beaver offense would only put up three total shots on the day and only two shots on goal, continuing a trend that has building all season.

According to NCAA statistics Oregon State ranked near the bottom of the nation in total shots per game this season, coming in at 256 in the country.
