EUGENE, Ore. – Five protestors were arrested during a 12-hour-long protest outside of the old federal Building in downtown Eugene.
Of the five protesters detained last night, one remained in custody late this afternoon at the Lane County Jail. In light of this, other protesters and supporters decided to set up an area outside the facility and wait for that person to be released.
Three individuals were detained by federal law enforcement and the other two were arrested by Eugene Police.
In a statement sent to KEZI, Homeland Security explained why those three protestors were arrested.
