Jackson Police Department officers and investigators are on the scene of a deadly shooting in the 4800 block of Churchill Street, where a 17-year-old male was shot and later died at UMMC after being taken there by private vehicle, according to JPD.

Interim Police Chief Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones said there is no suspect information available at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
