COLUMBIA, S.C. (WSPA) - Former South Carolina State Representative Robert John (RJ) May III represented himself in federal court Wednesday.
May filed several motions, including tossing evidence that can be used against him and a request to relocate his trial out of Columbia. The judge deferred all rulings until Wednesday.
May faces 10 federal counts of distributing child sexual abuse material. He was investigated last year because of an account on the messaging app “Kik” that is allegedly tied to May's home, phone, and IP address. Prosecutors said the account, using the alias “joebidennnn69,” uploaded and exchanged hundreds of illicit videos known as child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The Government also point to logs showing the account accessed his home Wi-Fi network hundreds of times
