A Utica man has been charged with murder after authorities said he stabbed his estranged wife to death Sunday at a Meijer gas station in Shelby Township.
Sidney Emmanuel Davis Jr., 25, was arraigned Wednesday in 41A District Court on a change of first-degree murder, Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido said in a press release.
Authorities said Davis was meeting his spouse at the gas station, at 15031 Hall Road, around 5 p.m. Sunday to exchange custody of their child. Lucido said the child was in his mother's car during the incident and has since been placed with his paternal grandmother.
Inside the gas station, Davis allegedly beat and repeatedly stabbed Fatme Davis, 23, of Utica. First responders were called to the scene and transported her to a hospital, where she later died from
