A traffic stop on Route 13 in New Castle County results in a man's fifth arrest for DUI.
Delaware State Police said a trooper observed the driver swerve across the roadway late Tuesday night, nearly hitting another car.
According to State Police, 52-year-old Salvatore Rothwell of Wilmington was slumped over the driver's seat, and his eyes were bloodshot.
After field sobriety tests were administered, Rothwell was taken into custody, and was found to have four previous DUI-related convictions. He was being held at Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $7,050 secured bond for 5th-Offense DUI (felony), driving while suspended or revoked, failure to have required insurance, and a traffic offense.
