GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Nearly four years after a Gwinnett County girl's body was found dumped in a wooded area of DeKalb County, her mother has pleaded guilty to her murder.
Brittany Nicole Hall , 31, pleaded guilty to felony murder, 11 counts of cruelty to children, concealing the death of another, and making false statements in the 2021 disappearance and death of her daughter, Amari Hall . Brittany was sentenced to life in prison. Credit: Gwinnett County
Brittany and her partner, Celeste Owens, first reported that the 8-year-old was missing on November 19, 2021.
Amari was found dead in a county away a few days later . Investigators credited information from a U-Haul reservation on Owen's cell phone that helped them locate Amari.
