GREENBELT, Md. — Residents in Prince George’s County can expect to see a heightened police presence this weekend—not in response to crime, but as part of a new community initiative aimed at building trust and transparency.

The Prince George’s County Police Department is launching "Blue Lights Nights" on Friday and Saturday. The effort brings together local law enforcement agencies for two nights of community engagement, crime prevention and outreach across the county.

The initiative focuses on strengthening regional partnerships while encouraging officers to connect with the communities they serve. Officers will take part in crime prevention activities, traffic enforcement, and hands-on engagement with residents.
