Tulsa River Parks plan to drain Zink Lake for the second time in a month to inspect malfunctioning gates on Zink Dam.

What's wrong with the dam?

Two gates are down and won't raise, likely because of an uncertain issue with air hoses that drive the lifting mechanism.

What's happening with the Lake?

When the lake is drained again, the week of September 29th, Joe Medlin of River Parks said he expected repairs could be accomplished. An earlier attempt to inspect the air hoses that control the gates was inconclusive because the river flow interfered with an inspector's view of the problem area, he said.
