The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is preparing to issue its Winter Fuel Payment to those who qualify. The department recently revised its instructions on applying for this benefit and issued a new form for eligible people who must apply manually for a Winter Fuel Payment.

This payment, aimed at assisting with escalating energy bills, will provide a financial uplift to over nine million pensioners this winter. The DWP confirmed that the majority of qualifying people in England and Wales will receive their Winter Fuel Payment automatically.

However, according to the Mirror , some will need to submit a claim. If you're receiving any of the below benefits, there's no need to claim as the Winter Fuel Payment will be made automatically:
