WASHINGTON — DC Police are investigating a crash that left three officers injured.
DC Police were called at 10:33 p.m. on Wednesday for reports of a car crash involving two cars. The accident occurred along Southern Avenue and Benning Road, SE.
Very few details are known at this time, but here's what we do know.
Two U.S. Park Police officers and a U.S. Marshal were involved in a crash. The second vehicle ran a red light, striking the officer's car. All three officers were injured.
They were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
It is unknown at this time if the driver who ran the red light remained on the scene. No arrests have been announced at this time.
