A leafy Solihull suburb has been named the 'best place to live' in the West Midlands - and it's only a 13-minute train ride from Birmingham .

Lifestyle website Muddy Stilettos publishes an annual guide to the top places to live in the UK, based on house prices, places to eat and shop, schools, community events and commutability.

Hampton-in-Arden has been named 'number one' in the 2025 guide, singled out for its 'rural character', Michelin-starred restaurants , 'gorgeous period properties' and 'outstanding primary school'.
