UK households could find a staggering £230,000 worth of gold while weeding their garden, it has emerged. A couple in England managed to find £230k of English treasure while weeding their garden before autumn really hits.
The husband and wife duo discovered 70 gold Tudor coins in clumps of clay soil at their suburban home in Hampshire. The couple made the stunning discovery near the historic Christchurch Priory.
It is thought the gold may have been buried for safekeeping by a wealthy church cleric. The coins are now set to go to auction in Zurich, Switzerland in November where they're expected to fetch an estimated £230,000.

The couple are said to be "excited". Auctioneer David Guest sai
