The youngest Selwood sibling is stepping away from football indefinitely following the tragic deaths of his older brothers Adam and Troy.

Troy Selwood died in February and his twin brother Adam died in May, both by suicide.

The fourth brother, Geelong champion Joel, will present the AFL premiership cup on Saturday if the Cats beat the Lions.

On Thursday, Collingwood announced Scott Selwood will quit his position as assistant coach of the AFL team.

The 35-year-old plans to travel overseas and explore opportunities outside football.
