Careless and myopic energy policy is standard fare in West Virginia. It’s important that the people of this state understand why that is.

A recent piece published by the independent clean-energy-focused news outlet CleanTechnica titled “The Key to Fossil Fuel Profits? Waste as Much Energy as Possible,” by technology and sustainability writer Steve Hanley, does a great job explaining.

Hanley references author Lloyd Alter who teaches sustainable design at Toronto Metropolitan University and has written two books, “Living the 1.5 degree Lifestyle” and “The Story of Upfront Carbon.” In a recent Substack piece, Alter shared the latest analysis from global energy thinktank Ember on “The Electrotech Revolution.”
