LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A military judge sentenced a U.S. Air Force lieutenant colonel to 12 and a half years of confinement for sex crimes against a child, in a case dating back to three years while he was able to keep his military job.

Lt. Kevin DiFalco will not only be behind bars now, but he will also be stripped of his military career and salary.

The 8 News Now Investigators first reported on his arrest in 2022.

Las Vegas Metro police said DiFalco groomed and repeatedly raped a child. Two months after his arrest, the case was turned over to the military. He kept his military job until his trial concluded on Wednesday.
