LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Having the common name "Michael Anderson" is the reason why a Louisville father ended up in custody for over five months.

Michael Anderson was arrested on Christmas Eve 2024 in front of his children in connection with a January 2023 domestic incident, he says he was not involved in.

The Louisville Office of Inspector General alleged that the Louisville Metro Police unlawfully arrested Anderson and violated his Fourth Amendment rights.
