An argument over the placement of an “I Love Muhammad” flex banner in Karl Marx Nagar in Karnataka’s Davanagere led to stone pelting on Wednesday night, September 25, around 10 pm.

According to police, the altercation began after youths from two communities clashed over the banner.

A few house doors were damaged, and a young girl sustained minor injuries and was admitted to the government hospital.

SP Davanagere Uma Prashnath said, “A banner written ‘I love Muhammad’ was put up in Karl Marx Nagar. Another community said this needs to be removed.
