Wednesday night update: For the next two days, the forecast is pretty straightforward. A cold front is slowly making its way toward our area from the west. Starting with Thursday, rain chances will build from west to east as the day progresses. The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has placed our entire area under a Marginal Risk (Level 1 out of 5) for severe weather. This is because there will be a good amount of storm fuel available. The biggest concern from any storms that turn strong will be damaging wind gusts. The Weather Prediction Center has also issued a Marginal Risk (Level 1 out of 4) for excessive rainfall across our western counties for Friday. Temperature-wise? It will be another hot and humid day, with highs potentially reaching the upper 80s to low 90s before the rain and cloud
