At the Frank Kelley Invitational in Wrentham last weekend, Falmouth High senior Silas Gartner finished as the fastest runner of the day, in any division, with a fantastic showing in an event that featured 16 races covering each high school grade in large and small schools.

Gartner set the meet record in the 3,000m senior small school race as he crossed the line in first place with a time of nine minutes and 7.95 seconds, besting a meet record that had been set earlier in the day. Teammate James McGlinchey, who has been having a fantastic senior season himself, was ninth overall in 9:47.27 and also earned a medal for his performance. Fellow Falmouth senior Nathan Petronelli ran 13:19.27 and was 109th overall.
