Fall has officially arrived. Summer is gone. Any thoughts we had of our government finding its sanity again seem to be gone as well and I find myself sinking into an unfamiliar depression. Usually, I can reclaim my positivity by walking in the woods or a meadow or along the shore, but a recent knee issue has prevented that as well. It doesn’t matter. Everywhere I look, I see environmental degradation and species of birds, animals, fish and plants barely hanging on. Our ground, water, air and food are filled with poisons, and even newborn infants have both PFAS and plastics in their systems.

What is there to be hopeful about these days? Children are shooting each other, adults are screaming for the murder of millions that don’t look like them, corrupt politicians on both sides of the aisle
