The Mashpee High cross country teams competed in the prestigious Frank Kelley Invitational last Saturday in Wrentham, with several excellent showings by the Falcons. Overall the team had 16 competitors in six different races for the day.

Leading things off, Grey Auger went hard in the freshman boys race and placed 10th overall in the 3,000m race. He finished with a time of 10:39. Kevin Boettger set a personal record with a time of 13:50. Middle school runner Josh Swanson ran in his first ever cross country race and clocked a 16:53 in the race.

In the girls’ freshman race, the Falcons entered five middle school runners. Isabel Lause, competing for the first time, ran 15:39. Raylee Lauze, also a seventh grade runner, finished in 15:43. Cecilia McGee, an eighth grader, ran 16:28. Jeannie Ew
