The Bourne High School volleyball team came out with purpose and overcame a scrappy Seekonk High School team Wednesday evening , September 24, in Bourne. The Lady Canalmen made quick work of the Raiders as they scored a 3-0 victory.

Coach Dave Moore said his team gave a full team effort as they won 25-12, 25-19 and 25-20. “All 12 players contributed and it was good to see,” he said.

Sophomore middle hitter Arianna McCarthy showed poise and put away three kills in the win. Lily Russell, playing on the outside, led the team with seven kills and also had 11 digs. Mayla Muldoon had four aces, four kills and 14 assists as she played both setter and outside.

Avery Morrill, the team’s libero, did a great job from the service line. She had five aces and also came up with 12 digs.
