Bhubaneswar : A low-pressure system is all set to form over the central Bay of Bengal, which will intensify into a depression by September 26 and cross southern Odisha and northern Andhra Pradesh by September 27, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
This weather system will bring heavy rainfall to the state, affecting various districts.
Going by today’s prediction, several districts in Odisha have been placed under warning due to the impending weather system. Koraput, Nabarangapur, and Nuapada are under an orange alert, while Malkangiri, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, and Balasore are under a yellow alert.
Besides, rainfall is expected in various parts of the state, including coastal, western, and interior Odisha.
