Bhubaneswar : A well-marked low-pressure area has formed over the northwest and adjoining central Bay of Bengal, moving westwards, informed the India Meteorological Department.

According to the latest update, the system is likely to intensify into a depression over the northwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal off the coasts of South Odisha and North Andhra Pradesh within the next 24 hours.

“The low-pressure area over central parts of north and adjoining central Bay of Bengal moved westwards and lay as a well-marked low-pressure area over northwest and adjoining central Bay of Bengal at 0530 hrs IST of today, the 26th September. Moving further westwards, it is very likely to concentrate into a depression over northwest and adjoining west central Bay of Bengal off South Odisha N
