CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Two years ago, Kevin Groves announced he would no longer decorate the Brookwood Drive neighborhood in Cape Girardeau, because a neighbor took the spirit out of it for him.
But now Groves says his decorations are back, and this time they’re here to stay.
“It feels good, I guess the street behind us, Westwood, did last year, and it was kind of so close, and they were like, ‘Come on. You need to do it again.” So I started doing it again," said Groves.
For the last week, He has been decorating eight homes on Brookwood Drive, with ghosts, skeletons, pumpkins, and zombies.
Groves says bringing the Halloween spirit back to the block has been a challenge because he got rid of a lot of the decorations he once possessed.
