MONROE COUNTY, MI — A first time home buyer, Ashley Currier of Temperance admits there were a few learning curves.

“First of all, learning that the process goes fast at some points and slow at others,” Currier said in an email. “Just be prepared with all kinds of documents and yet at the same time be ready to wait for days on answers to approvals and such."

Currier learned things she had never known about before, like water softeners and pool care and wasn’t afraid to ask questions, she said.

“Our realtor had a lot of great resources to help us,” she said.

Currier’s search for a new home took about three months.
