Tekanpur, Madhya Pradesh, Sept 25: In response to evolving border threats after Operation Sindoor, the Border Security Force (BSF) has established India’s first dedicated Drone Warfare School at its Tekanpur training academy to train personnel in offensive and defensive unmanned aerial operations.

The school, inaugurated last month, graduated its first batch of 40 officers and is currently training a second group of 47 personnel in the six-week Drone Commando course, covering drone piloting, tactics, rapid assembly, weaponisation, and counter-drone operations. Courses are designed for ranks from Subordinate Officers to Constables, with modules on research and development, and lessons drawn from five years of border incidents.
