The police watchdog says it is to investigate if there were any 'missed opportunities' to prevent the death of a teenager in Moss Side.

Mohanad Goobe, 15, was 'stabbed to death during a large-scale disturbance' on Monton Street in Moss Side on Monday, September 14, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said.

Police and paramedics attended the area at around 4.30pm. Mohanad died later that evening, despite the best efforts of emergency services.

A 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons due to his age, has been charged with his murder.
