The victim of a slashing attack on the University of Edinburgh campus has recalled the "shocking" incident and the traumatising impact on his family.
Ben Law, 25, was attacked by a knifeman while attending a Pro-Palestine protest in March of this year.
The drunk assailant - Thomas McKenzie - has since been jailed for 22 months for his assault on the third-year philosophy and politics student.
Now Ben has broken his silence on the impact of the attack - which forced him to retake his third year due to the "stress" it brought on him and his wife.
He told Edinburgh Live: "Immediately after [the attack], I was shocked by the fact he had a weapon. Students had to help me. I had a lot of adrenaline."
