With the announcement from CFL commissioner Stewart Johnson of changes coming to the CFL this former Bell Media executive was obviously an NFL fan. He plans to shorten the endzone by five yards, move the goal posts back to the end of the endzone and reduce the field by 10 yards to 100 yards in length (sound familiar?). He also plans to eliminate the rouge except under very specific conditions (NFL style). His claim that this will enhance the Canadian game is absurd. The CFL was a proud Canadian establishment long before Stewart Johnson was even a twinkle in his father’s eye, so for him to proclaim this is a betterment to the CFL is an insult to CFL fans everywhere.
