Alberta continues to lead the country in attracting people from other provinces, but new data suggest that allure could be fading.
In the first six months of this year, Alberta posted a net increase of 12,800 people moving to the province from other parts of Canada — the biggest jump in the country, but also almost half the amount recorded during the same period in 2024, according to Statistics Canada.
