Two people are dead after a house fire in Torrington, Alta., on Wednesday morning.

Just before 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 24, Olds RCMP were called to a fire on 1st Avenue in Torrington. When emergency personnel arrived, the house was engulfed in flames.

Once it was safe for crews to enter, they found the bodies of a 57-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman inside.

Autopsies are scheduled for Sept. 25 at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Calgary.

The fire is not believed to be suspicious; however, the investigation is ongoing.

Torrington is located about 160 kilometres northeast of Calgary.
