(Custer, SD) — The 60th annual Buffalo Roundup at Custer State Park kicks off Friday morning, and crews are busy getting ready for the big crowds. Officials say the event is not just a spectacle, it’s also when the herd gets health checks and calves are vaccinated. Park staff expect this year’s roundup to be one of the biggest yet, and they’re reminding visitors to arrive early.
