MENASHA, Wis. (WFRV) - Wisconsin's first major planetarium opened its doors again as it celebrated a grand reopening on Wednesday.

The Barlow Planetarium's grand reopening helped to kick off Family Astronomy Day, beginning with a news conference and ending with a short ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Planetarium leadership and Winnebago County Executive Gordon Hintz made remarks and shared their vision for what visitors can expect in the future, as well as honoring the planetarium's rich history.

Officials with the Barlow Planetarium, located in Menasha at 1478 Midway Road, say they are a leader in astronomical education and entertainment, sharing the "wonders of the universe" through immersive star shows and dazzling laser light experiences.
