British holidaymakers flying to or from Italy tomorrow, September 26, are warned of disruption due to nationwide strikes.
Two of Italy’s biggest unions, the CUB Trasporti and USB unions, are organising walkouts in a dispute over pay and working conditions.
According to EuroNews, the 24-hour strike will involve airline crews as well as airport staff, with Milan’s Linate and Malpensa airports set to be the worst affected.
In a statement on its website, Milano Malpensa Airport said: “There might be some delays or cancellations affecting your flights. We invite passengers to contact the airline in order to check their flight status before going to the airport.”
