Some popular portable chargers are now part of a major safety recall.

Anker is pulling nearly half-a-million power banks off the market because their lithium-ion batteries can overheat, posing fire and burn risks.

They were sold nationwide at retailers including Best Buy, Target and online, between August 2023 and June 2025.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says there have been 33 reports of fires or explosions tied to the devices.

Four people suffered minor burns, with one case of significant property damage.

You should stop using the recalled chargers immediately.
